The Model G43 was also referred to as the K43 and is an improved version of the K41. Introduced in 1943 with a modified gas system. Stamped with the 'ac' code of Carl Walther. One piece laminated wood stock with pistol grip and separate hand guard. Receiver has a dovetail for a telescopic sight on right side. Ten round magazine capacity. Used by German sharpshooters during World War II. Left side of frame is stamped Waffenamt 359, "G43", Nazi eagle with swastika, serial No. 4804e, ac (code for Walther), 44 (year). Bolt is numbered 3465 with Waffenamt 359. Magazine has an 'awj' code, stamped "K43" and has Waffenamt eagle. These were roughly finished rifles with not much attention to detail when it came to finishing. The bolt appears to be hand-hammered but is all correct factory. Metal is basically grey. Wood is excellent. Fine action and strong bore.
