September 16-17, 2017 Premier Toy, Doll, & Figural Cast Iron
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/17/2017
The first doll is a 13" Simon & Halbig 1129 child with typical oriental features and coloring with brown glass sleep eyes. On a fully jointed composition body with olive coloring (hands are original but possibly not to this body). The doll is dressed in vintage oriental garb and still retains its original black mohair wig. Bisque head is of fine quality but a hairline extends from crown above dolls left eye curving towards center of forehead yet still this doll has a nice display appeal. The second doll is marked "193" with a flanged neck and most likely what is referred to as a Belton type. A nice example with uplifted eyebrows, closed mouth, brown glass set eyes, on a five piece composition body with original clothing and dark wig(sparse) with a braided queue. Bisque head appears to have a "cup shaped" faint crack above the dolls left eye as well as an eye chip on the lower lid.
