A 10 shot Walther made German WWII G43 semi-automatic rifle in 7.92x57mm. Rifle is in excellent condition with a excellent bore, and appears to have been issued to East German forces after WWII, based on the markings on the left side of the receiver. Those markings consist of two crossed swords, and an emblem within a starburst border. This G43 has matching numbers throughout, to include a pencil etched number on the magazine and the bolt housing. Trigger guard has a matching number stamped on it. Bolt lugs have the last two serial number digits pencil etched as well. Laminated stock does not appear to have any markings, and the standard "WaA359" or "WaA214" is not present, though the stock does not appear to have been sanded. No manufacturer marking, or date, is visible on the left side of the receiver, though it may be below the stock line. a "G43' is present however. Rifle has its original front sight hood, but the cleaning rod is not present. Buttplate has been blued. The sling is a post war German copy. Orignal magazine is marked "K43" and was manufactured by "aye".
