Gewehr 98 marked action with SS Death Head markings on barrel. Claw mounted SS marked Dienstglas fencepost reticle. Barrel has original muzzle cap and original sling. Possible compilation of original parts with added markings. CONDITION: 70% original fading barrel blue. Action retains 60% finish with some applied cold blue. Bore is excellent. Front barrel band has some rust and floorplate is worn to a peppery finish. Period fencepost reticle scope with reproduction rings and mounts. Scope is clear and has 60% original finish with some oxidation. Stock is numbered to the gun and appears to have been cleaned. Original sling with one slight tear. Would be a great gun for a reenactor.
