John Martz's Luger conversions are world renown for their unique qualities and his meticulous craftsmanship. This very unusual example was completed with 10" barrel having a ramped front sight as per the usual carbines. The unmarked receiver is from a 1920 Commercial with the Crown/N marking on the left side, just above the "MSTR" identifier on the left rail. Standard "DWM" on middle toggle link. Front of frame with full serial number overlying "Germany". Major components rust blued. Usual strawed small parts with fire blued front sight and grip screws. Fitted with finely checkered walnut grips. Magazines, both with extruded bodies from WW2, with 122/E/77 markings, now fitted with walnut plugs. Complete with superb quality Luger carbine stock by Martz, having two screw lug, and serrated buttplate. Ensemble presented in wood attache case, lid covered in alligator skin, secured with three latches and with leather carry handle, compartmentalized for pistol, spare magazine, and shoulder stock. CONDITION: Over 99% rust blue as refurbished by John Martz with comparable condition strawed and fire blued parts. Sharply checkered grips with no discernable mars. Same condition applies to the shoulder stock, spare magazine, and the case. A very impressive John Martz ensemble, highlighting one of his scarcer Lugers.
