Lot consists of: (A) Made by Browning Brothers in Ogden, Utah. This Model 1878 has blued round barrel marked "Browning Bros. Ogden, Utah, Pat Oct. 7, 79, 40, 183" with sheared front sight and adjustable rear. Case hardened action with flat lever. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock with steel crescent buttplate and German silver shield and heart inlays. Walnut plain fancy grained forearm with pewter fastener plate and nose cap. CONDITION: Metal worn to silvery patina with some pitting. Good mechanics with shootable bore. Wood has heavy wear with small sliver of wood missing behind action and area where tang sight was probably mounted at one time. (B) Browning Model 1878 marked with octagon blued barrel marked "J.M. Browning Ogden, Utah" , with blade front sight and plugged rear dovetail. Case hardened action marked on breechblock "J.M. Browning Ogden, Utah" with Marbles tang sight. Walnut wood stock with checkered steel buttplate and walnut forearm. CONDITION: Overall gray gun with pitting. Action has been brazed at wrist. Good mechanics and shootable bore. Wood is total replacement. DLM
