An excellent example of late a production Winchester Model 1895 Lee rifle made for the US Navy. Military contract length 28" blued barrel mounted with ladder rear sight and hooded front. 2-piece full length walnut pistol grip stock mounted with 2 blued bands and a trap butt plate. Top of receiver marked "-U.S.N-/(Anchor)/No. 16755/-J.N.J-". Side marked with proper 2 line Winchester address and patents. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains vast majority of its original blued finish with some areas, including the bolt handle thinning to a brown patina. Barrel shows a few pits and marks, with some finish added. Stock sanded and reoiled with some fading on right side. Bore good and mechanics when cycled by hand. BAS
