The all-iron strongbox is stenciled with yellow "RY EXP/AGY 1072" in big block letters (Railway Express Agency) and marked 1072 in multiple places. The box functions and opens with the turn of the handle and the key. Often keys on these type of boxes are broken. The top door swings open on two hinges. Measures 20" x 12" x 12" with the handles extending an additional inch on each side. An old and authentic railroad strong box from a 35 year collection, fresh to market.
