Winchester 2nd Model 1873 lever action saddle ring carbine made by Winchester Repeating Arms in 1876. Blued round rifled carbine style barrel with banded blade front sight (missing) with early style roller notch sight. Blued saddle ring second model frame with missing dust cover and saddle ring. Walnut carbine style stock with walnut forearm. Steel carbine style buttplate with missing trapdoor. Gun looks to have seen some extensive use; if it could only talk. CONDITION: Overall poor with missing parts and period "on the trail" repairs like the sideplate bolt. Wood missing chunks around tang and buttplate with a dry look. Poor bore with functioning sticky mechanics. DLM
