Made in 1887 by Enfield. Arsenal reapplied blued finish throughout. 33" round barrel chambered in .577/450 with proofs at breech, blade front sight blade, and ladder rear sight. Right side of receiver marked with the cypher of Queen Victoria and manufacture information. Plain hardwood buttstock with various Nepalese and other Commonwealth arsenal stampings. Full length walnut forend retained by 2 bands. CONDITION: Very good overall. Metal components retain the majority of their arsenal reapplied blue with some thinning and areas of pitting. Stocks are dark with impressions from a long military tenure. Good dark bore displaying defined rifling. Mechanically fine. Cleaning rod is a replacement. BAS
