Lot consists of: (A) British World War I-World War II medal bar named to Petty Officer Henry Harwood Nicol. The medals are nicely mounted and include Nicol's 1914-15 Star named on reverse "J.18816, / H.H. NICOL, / A.B., R.N.", War Medal impressed "J.18816 H.H. NICOL. L.S. R.N.", Victory Medal impressed "J.18816 H.H. NICOL. L.S. R.N.", 1939 Star, Atlantic Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945, and Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal impressed "J.18816 H.H. NICOL P.O. H.M.S. VALHALLA". HMS Valhalla was an Admiralty V-class flotilla leader commissioned in 1917 and scrapped in 1931. According to records, Nicol was awarded his LSGCM in 1929. Copies of records included. CONDITION: Medals exhibit varying patina with obvious wear and blemishes to ribbons. (B) British WWI-WWII medal bar named to G.E.F St. John. The medals include 1914-15 Star named on reverse "S. LT. / G.E.F. ST. JOHN, / R.N.R.", War Medal impressed "LIEUT G.E. ST. JOHN R.N.R", Victory Medal impressed "LIEUT G.E.F. ST. JOHN R.N.R.", 1939 Star named on reverse "203097 / G.E.F. / ST. JOHN", War Medal 1939-1945 impressed "203097 G.E.F. ST. JOHN", Africa Service Medal impressed "203097 G.E.F. ST. JOHN" and Volunteer Officers' Decoration (King George V version). CONDITION: Medals with varying patina, ribbons with slight wear.
