These scarce revolvers were the first handguns that Remington produced to use a metallic cartridge. 6-barrel cluster, each with their own bead front sight, notch rear sight in back of frame which also has a porthole for loading. Normal Elliot's patent marks on left side of frame and Remington manufacturer information on right side. Iconic zig-zag cut that advances the barrel cluster. Hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Metal is essentially dove grey throughout, with areas of peppering consistent throughout, somewhat heavier on one barrel. Grips are solid and free of cracks or chips, but have some minor flaking towards bottoms. Mechanically fine, bores with heavily softened rifling and scattered oxidation. A good example of a scarce gun.
