Fine reproduction of a Freund & Brother 1874 Sharps sporting rifle was custom made by Shiloh Rifle Manufacturing Company, Big Timber, Montana circa 1990 for Paul. Shiloh Sharps made these rifles to a customer's specific wishes and are often one-of-a-kind. Rifle comes with factory and "OLD RELIABLE" marked 32" blued #1 heavy octagon barrel with globe front sight, no rear sight, and tang Vernier peep sight. Marked "CAL 45/ 2-7/8" at breech. Standard 1874 case hardened style action with double set triggers and Big Timber address with owner's initials "PIF" in gold on left side and "BOSS GUN" Freund marking on right with floral border engraving. XXX deluxe checkered walnut standard sporting stock with case hardened Sharps style checkered shotgun style buttplate and right-handed cheekpiece. Matching fancy checkered sporting forearm with Hartford Style pewter nosecap. CONDITION: 98%+ overall with light handing marks, possibly unfired. Excellent bore with crisp mechanics.
