Lot consists of (A) Double edged straight diamond-section blade with blued and gilded decorations. Gilt brass cross guard and pillow pommel, octagonal ivory grip. Complete with its original leather scabbard with gilt brass mounts and leather hangers. CONDITION: Some light spotting to blade and some wear to finishes. Handle and hilt excellent. Some minor losses to finish on scabbard mounts. (B) Mameluke-hilted naval dirk with curved single edged blade. S-shaped guard with diamond shaped languettes and lion heads on quillons. Ivory mameluke handle with ringed gilt brass ferrule at base. Brass scabbard. CONDITION: Blade retains a grey patina with light pitting throughout. Handle shows minor hairline age cracks. Some traces of gilt finish. Scabbard shows minor traces of finish and some minor denting.
