Lot consists of a good group of bayonets: (A) Four Revolutionary War Brown Bess bayonets, one marked with "(Crown) / 6" and "Osborn", along with ordnance mark. Another marked "(Crown) / 9" and "DAWES" along with a heart. Another has a spring improvement and no visible markings. One with correct tooled leather scabbard and blade with white inscription "MENDEM / N.J."(Period modified blade). (B) A British Fusil bayonet marked "ALLEN MUSKET" in white letters (blade has a bend). (C) British bayonet marked with a "(Crown) / 2" (socket has a split). (D) Model 1816 bayonet with no markings and its original brown finish. (E) "US" marked bayonet (bulge in socket). CONDITION: Most good with dark patina overall. Major issues noted in descriptions of each.
