Fine Inland US M2 Carbine so marked on the receiver and barrel and in the correct 7000000 serial number range. As so many did, this gun has been retrofitted with adjustable rear peep sight and bayonet lug forward barrel band. "P" visible on barrel forward of bayonet lug. Flip safety and post-war replacement stock with four rivet hand guard. Also incorporates round bolt. Includes one 30 round magazine and one Lift-the-Dot web sling. Receiver serial number is the only visible serial number. The M2 Carbine was fielded at the very end of World War II with most going to the Pacific Theater. After the war, many M1 Carbines were retrofitted and made into M2 carbines by the U.S. government. These guns saw service throughout the Korean and Vietnam War eras and were even supplied to other countries by the United States thereafter. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is fine to extremely fine with over 80% arsenal refinish with some significant thinning to a grey patina where the charging handle rides on the receiver and on the round bolt. Wood is extremely fine with some light handling marks and very attractive. Mechanics are fine. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face is fine. This is a select fire machine gun. A fine collectible carbine which will also be loads of fun to shoot. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO & RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2019-10-74
