This fabulous Tippmann produced Gatling gun stands just under 37” high on its stand without vertical feed magazine in place. Overall length of gun as mounted with traverse handle included is just under 39” with a display footprint also of 39”. Included with this lot is tray to channel the empty inserts to the side after extraction, two gravity feed box magazines with 100 steel inserts to chamber standard .357 magnum cartridges, as well as two box end wrenches, steel cleaning rod, and a handsome purpose built crate to hold these accessories. This gun is serial 16 as indicated on the left side rail and will transfer as a modern rifle. Six-barrel cluster mounted in steel and brass receiver. A stunning gun which came out of a brilliant idea to make a Gatling gun which was faithful in appearance and operation, yet far more portable and manageable, and taking plentiful relatively inexpensive ammunition. What is not to like about this? CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent deep lustrous blue finish on steel parts with brass just starting to patina. Mechanics are crisp. This gun has been fired and bores are extremely fine to near excellent. Bolts all look extremely fine with good firing pins. About half of the inserts have turned a gray patina, the rest look extremely fine. This gun is certain to draw attention whether on display or at the firing range. Looks good enough to be on display in a part of the house you live in, or would be ideal in an office. This seldom surface for sale because the owners love them so much! JWK 2019-10-220
