Lot contains one matching TENO Leader's Dagger with correct leather hangers. The TENO Leader Dagger was established in 1938 and only produced by the firm of Carl Eickhorn. The near mint blade exhibits excellent cross graining. The blade has roughly 5% freckling and minor runner marks from being removed and reinserted into the scabbard over the years. The front of the blades ricasso is marked with the daggers number "2364", which corresponds with the number "2364" stamped on the scabbard throat fitting. The reverse of the blades ricasso shows the "TENO eagle" with "Ges Gesch", over the squirrel trademark symbol for the firm of "Carl Eickhorn". The fittings are in very good condition, exhibiting roughly 70% to 80% of the original nickel plating and much of the original dark factory burnishing in the lower areas. The synthetic trylon orange grip is in near mint condition with no cracks or chips, and only minor signs of wear. The daggers scabbard is also in near mint condition, with no dents or damage, and retains most of dark black-oxide finish. As mentioned previously, the scabbard throat is stamped with the daggers number "2364", making this a matched set. The correct leather hanger also accompanies this dagger and is in excellent condition. The metal hanger fittings still retain roughly 50% of the dark oxide finish, and the leather of the hanger is pliable with minor wear to the short section and moderate wear to the long section. This is a rare opportunity to own a matched TENO Leader Dagger with its correct leather hanger!
