Nice example of an early Riffe Models aluminum Trans World Airlines L-749 Constellation ashtray. The ashtray model was made in Shawnee Mission, Kansas by Riffe Models and is marked as such on under the base. This example is engraved on the front of the ashtray and reads "T.W.A. / S.F.-LAS VEGAS / AUG. 15-53". Constructed of aluminum, the fuselage is adorned with standard TWA decals. N-Number "N56805" decal present on right wing. This example does not exhibit simulated clear plastic propellers. The ashtray measures approximately 8" tall with 10" wingspan. Decals are heavily flaked and aluminum exhibits corrosion. Roughly textured but still a nice early Riffe Models TWA Constellation ashtray.
