This is a rare example of the Groves Yellow Kid vending machine made for Grove's Yellow Kid Pepsin Gum. The Yellow Kid was the first comic character and was created by famous cartoonist Richard Outcault. This rare machine has a wooden case with porcelain front door, with two coin entries for two separate columns. This example has light chipping to the outside edges of the front porcelain panel, age and wear to the oak case, with original hardware. A rare machine and one of less than a handful to exist today. Referenced in "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill Enes, page 143.
