C. 1909. Pope Automatic Co. A rare cigar vending machine in the harder to find 5¢ version with porcelain finish. CONDITION: A rare machine in need of restoration and lubrication. The clockwork mechanism appears complete and has moderate surface rust. Small light chips to the edges of the porcelain and needing a fabricated sheet metal back door, but overall a rare example with original decal. Referenced in "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill Enes, page 223.
