Helmet shows great age and is pitted overall with a few minor holes in the skull. Plume holder appears to be the original. Ear flaps skillfully forged but appear to be later than the skull itself. Helmet has excellent form, retains iron lining rivets and is a handsome piece of 17th century headgear.
