This is one of the earliest known coin-operated machines, primarily from the late 19th century, called an "Honor Box", where customers would drop coins in the top, and would then dispense tobacco from the box. Found mostly in saloons and in tobacco stores. This one advertises Lola Bell Tobacco by the P. Lorillard Company. A great brass design, all original condition, showing very little signs of use and a great patina.
Condition: (Very Good).
Item Dimensions: 10" x 5" x 7".
