DESIRABLE ORIGINAL SWISS MG11 MAXIM MACHINE GUN TRIPOD.

Very well-made and useful Swiss MG-11 water cooled machine gun tripod. These tripods are in high demand because they are very stable shooting platforms, and, with adapters, will accept the German MG-08 Maxim machine gun. This cataloger will attest that although the original Maxim sled mount makes for a wonderful display piece, and a fine stable shooting platform, it is rather unwieldy, bulky to transport, and heavy for the aging (and not so aged) recreational machine gun shooter. The Swiss Maxim tripod however, is much easier to transport and set-up at the range. The Finnish tripods are also fine, but are not as finely made as the Swiss mounts. CONDITION: Extremely fine overall with dust and grime from long-term storage. Should clean up very nicely with appropriate effort. JWK 2026-09-161.
