Lot #3108:
FRANCISCO AUTO HEATER TIN SIGN W/ AUTOMOBILE GRAPHIC
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/2/2025
SST. Maker marked "The American Art Works, Inc. Coshocton, Ohio." This c. 1920s single-sided tin sign from Francisco Auto Heaters shows wonderful orange and yellow lettering, with a beautiful graphic of a cut-away automobile. CONDITION: The field of the sign remains vibrant and clean. There are two small areas of paint loss- one is above the "W" in "Warmth" and the other is above the hood of the car in the background. The outer edges of the field show a few more scuffs, the worst of which is discolored surface oxidation in the top and bottom-left mounting holes. The outer framed border shows paint loss and discoloration, but is not distracting. The worst of the border damage is seen in the bottom-left and top-right corners. A desirable example (8.5).
This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
Condition: (8.5).
Item Dimensions: 40" x 18".
