MP-44 / STG-44 machine gun parts kit manufactured during World War II. Exterior components are blued, with the bolt and buttstock reinforcements being phosphate finished. Components include a saw-cut receiver assembly, laminated buttstock, butt with screw, complete handgrip assembly, perforated sheet steel forend, barrel, front sight hood, gas block, bolt (with firing pin), op rod, mainspring, as well as a contemporary L&F marked sling. CONDITION: Metal components show varying degrees of wear, with receiver assembly components retaining traces of their original finish, exhibiting wear overall, with the balance retaining a grey and brown patina. Handgrip assembly, forend, and barrel retain the majority of their blue finish, exhibiting some minor wear, as well as some light surface oxidation. Bore is bright, exhibiting moderate oxidation and strong rifling throughout. Bolt face is very good. Stock exhibits some scattered marks from handling and storage overall and a small repair visible on the bottom right side but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. A very nice MP-44 / STG-44 parts kit that makes for an attractive assortment of spare parts and components for one's own MP-44. MLW
