WWII Luftwaffe M42 single decal helmet marked "ckl61" for the maker of "Eisenhuttenwerke Thale", in a shell size of 61, with a lot number of "2952". Shell retains 80-85% of its original rough blue-gray paint, with freckling on some of the worn areas and the rear rivet. Interior also retains 80-85% of its rough blue-gray finish, with moderate wear along the inside rim and under the band, and freckling on worn areas. Luftwaffe decal is in approximately 85% condition with the required era coat of lacquer. Original zinc liner band is present and is untouched. Liner is complete, untouched, in a tan color, with a size stamp of "57", and moderate fraying to the leather around the entire edge. Original drawstring is present. Original chinstrap with aluminum fittings is present, with moderate wear, and appears to be unmarked. A very desirable untouched and complete M42 combat helmet. CONDITON: Overall very good to excellent.
