A wonderful and early example of this celluloid-over-cardboard sign from Hires Root Beer, featuring a nice ugly kid graphic in the center. The backside of the sign retains its original manufacturer tag from Pulveroid. CONDITION: The field of this sign retains good color and shine in celluloid. There are areas of surface abrasions and light wear in the field. The outer edges, specifically in the four corners, and a nick in the bottom-center show celluloid loss and exposed cardboard. This sign retains its original string holder. It shows light areas of discoloration on the backside. A seldom seen and impressive example.
