Signed "Unno Motomasa". Aori-gata form decorated with a monk amongst precious metal birds on omote, ura with a gigantic oni in mixed metals reaching over a fence and making a terrifying face. Golden hitsu-ana plug with a carved design of falling rain. In a pawlonia wood box with cloth slip. Measures approximately 7.5cm by 8.2cm.

Condition
Very good, with traces of gilding about the rim and in recesses, such as the feathers of the birds. Some very minor handling marks. Box very good.
