One of the most desirable Lionel golden age sets. Includes a No. 400E steam engine, brass trim, matching Lionel Lines tender and three passenger cars: a No. 420 Faye; a No. 421 Westphal and a No. 422 observation Tempel. Cars have original boxes, which are stamped but do have some creasing and wear and some inside flaps are missing. Lionel No. 400 tags in front behind boiler are replacements, otherwise set looks all original. The No. 421 has two spots of tape residue staining on corner of roof. The observation car has some discoloration and oxidation on the lower observation deck.
CORRECTION: Paint touch ups to all three cars mostly to roof top and around bottom of cars edges.
