Made in Bavaria, Nuremberg. Working. This is one of the rarest comic character toys ever made and is extremely desirable. This toy is one of only two or three known examples. Marked "SG" for Sam Gunthermann. Depicts Felix the Cat riding in an automobile and on a zeppelin that are attached to the carousel. There is also a figure of Felix that cranks the carousel once the toy is wound on the bottom all while a plink-plink noise is emitted. When carousel is in operation, the depictions of Felix around the top appear to be running in a flip-book-type motion. Carousel is all original including flag but does have some repairs to the tabs that attach the Felix figures to the top of the carousel. Also, some minor scratching and wear throughout. This toy would be the highlight of any major comic character toy collection and is considered the "Holy Grail" of comic toys.
