A very important Tiffany Nast American eagle cane. The silver "L" handle depicts the famous Tiffany Nast eagle inspired by the political cartoons of the noted Thomas Nast. The stem of the handle is inscribed: "Tiffany & Co., Sterling". The high quality shaft is made of a finely figured wood. It is perhaps the most desirable and sought-after silver motif that was offered by this fine house. Examples of Tiffany eagle canes are shown on page 357 of Dike's La Canne Objet D'Art).
CORRECTION: This cane does not contain a sword blade, as previously described.
