This lot is from Samuel Lowe publishing archive. This lot includes the original cover art and 29 additional color illustrations of interior pages. The artist was Madison Wood. When it comes to children's book illustrations nothing can be finer than this group. Each intricate illustration of a catepillar and his insect friends is more wonderful than the previous. Although this book was never published its not likely Lowe could have produced a better one. Truely a fantastic group of original illustrations. Is a large volume of text that was to be used and a mock-up book. with copies of the illustrations.
