One is a water buffalo horn and walrus ivory handled "L" shaped handle mounted on an ebonized shaft. Sports an ornate brass collar. This cane has all of the features of a nautical cane; the design of the decoration, materials used, and construction techniques. The diamond with abalone center surrounded by ivory dots is a class sailor design. Circa 1870. The second is a spiral cane best known as a Piddle cane as it is made from the penis of a bull. In fact, the vast majority of Bull Piddle canes were made from donkeys. These canes made great conversation pieces, but also made wonderful weapon sticks. Circa 1900.
