This "Bark on" Cherry crook cane has an unusual feature attached to the end of the crook. It is a swiveling cheroot (cigar holder) also made of "bark on" cherry wood. Cheroot canes were popular throughout the 19th century and into the mid 20th century. The cane actually pre-dates the metal badge (known as a cane nail). This would make a wonderful addition to any gadget cane collection. Circa 1900.
