Post-war. Includes box. Label on box reads "From the Gear Drug Company Iron City Pharmacy, Spartanburg South Carolina to Blacksburg South Carolina". Outer sleeve is in remarkable condition and protected the interior. Set is extremely rare promotional set, probably sold through a toy catalog. Set includes a pair of 210 Texas Special Alcos, 6014 Bosco car, 6476 black Lehigh Valley hopper, 6017 brown caboose, 6112 blue gondola with white canisters, a trussell set, assortment of track, transformer, a catalog and some billboards. All enclosed in a polka-dot large box insert. Incredibly nice display item. Texas Special powder unit has broken front bar. Overall train and cars are very good plus to excellent. Interior of the box is like-new. Outer sleeve is excellent plus. Rare opportunity to own a nice piece of Lionel history. Not many available.
