French. Circa 1918. Composition head, original cloth dressed with small cast metal shoes or feet. Charlie holds cane and tin hat and waddles side-to-side when wound. Face is closer to the French idea of Charlie Chaplin (known as Charlot in France) and very colorfully dressed. Toy is similar in style to French Martin. Moderate fading and soiling to clothing. Collection of Carl Lobel.
Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
