American. Circa 1918. Probably made by the FergusonCompany. Working. Composition head, cloth dressed and curved wooden legs to facilitate tumbling action. Turning arms activates the wind-up mechanism and Charlie tumbles forward, head-over-heels. Slight soiling to front of pants. Very unusual toy with great action. Collection of Carl Lobel.
