Measuring 22" x 13" x 6", this full leather Gentleman's Tackle Case, initialed J. H. F., features wooden, removable trays, and everything imaginable for an outing. Containing several hundred baits, mounts, hooks, leads, weights, many in their original boxes or packaging. Makers include Hardy, Horton Evans, Milwards, to name a few. Includes a small fly box marked Malloch's patent 13561, a leatherette box marked the Redmayne Plug Box, and several tobaccotins, all full of baits and tackle. An incredible time capsule with newspaper lined bottom dated 1945, making this kit 70 years old! Leather box is stamped REAL COWHIDE. Locks are marked British Made Pat No 236734 and the clasps are marked on the inside patent applied, made in England. Wear to the leather but otherwise in solid condition.
