1920s. This display jar is the first jar produced for Planters. The jar has the original orange paper band label that goes around the rim of the jar, which states “Planters Pennant Whole Blanched Salted Peanuts 10 lbs. net”. Two inches of orange band label are missing which would have contained the letters “Plant”. The jar and lid have minimal roughness. Includes original shipping box with great color and graphics; however, the box does have wear and splits at the corners. This is an extremely rare jar and the only known example of this display with the original orange label intact.
