This reproduction illustration of a William Fuller Soare painting features two men trying on spectacles being sold by a third man. It reads, "In Europe, from the 14th to 17th Centuries, street vendors sold crude spectacles, both for adornment and as an aid to vision." Lithograph has brush strokes and some cracking.
