Patent Applied for box from the Davis Lure Co. of Peoria, IL, "It Takes Light to Make Fish Bite" is their motto! Green painted bait is starting the degrading process, most likely due to unstable plastics during the time frame of production. Bait is complete and includes the original bulb and battery tube. It is somewhat tacky and may be a bit fragile at this point, but given its rarity, as well as its original packaging, I'm sure there are very few known complete examples of this 1930s battery operated illuminated fish bait!!
