Patent date of April 21, 1903 handwritten on the back of this 25" x 17" oval wood plaque with Brook Trout skin mount by John Waldo Nash of Norway, Maine. Advertising in 1910 as America's Leading Taxidermist and a Trout and Salmon artist for 36 years (1874), Nash received this patent for his skin mounting process and it became the gold standard for fish mounts. This mount of a nearly 20" long Brook Trout is in average condition, showing wear and fading, however all Nash of Maine mounts can be considered scarce and highly desirable.

Item Dimensions: 25-1/2'' L.
