An incredibly rare jointed composition and wood Kewpie, circa 1920`s - 1930`s. More than likely this Kewpie was utilized as a store display to sell and/or promote the ever popular Rose O`Neill Kewpie theme of the time period. For said promotional products such as talcum powder, candies, stationery, etc. this fellow was sure to attract the attention of a shopper passing through the store! Only a handful of these are known to exist today and surely the center piece of any Kewpie collection. Overall condition is good with some crazing on the head and possible aged paint touch up.
