Bisque shoulder head incised “NTI Girl English Make” by Nottingham Toy Industry 1914-1920. Dolls were designed by Helen Rock and were called “Helen’s Babies” or “Rock China Dolls.” Head features blonde feathered eyebrows, glass eyes, closed mouth, original mohair wig; original kid body with cloth upper arms and bisque lower arms (2 fingers broken). Bisque socket head incised “NTI Boy English Make” with same facial description (red blotch on cheek), original jointed composition body (some wear) designed by Miss Wallis. Both are very nicely dressed ready to display. No damage noted on bisque. Very rarely found dolls!
