The Jaguar XJS was produced by the British automobile manufacturer from 1975-1996. The XJS replaced the iconic XKE in 1975 and was based on the XJ Saloon platform. More aerodynamic than the “E” type but powered by the same V-12 engine as used in the Series III XKE, 115,413 XJS’s were built in the 21 year production life.Available in both Coupe and Convertible, the sport coupe was only available with the Borg-Warner automatic transmission. The XJS joined both Italian “super car” manufacturers Lamborghini and Ferrari as the only producers of V-12 powered automobiles in that era. The 5.3 liter V-12 produced 295 HP and the Jaguar could accelerate from 0-60 in just 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 143 mph. This would garner the XJS as one of the world’s fastest production cars of its time.Presented is an exquisite example of the Jaguar XJS. This all-original, rust free example is finished in stunning Signal Red with Barley Connolly leather and trimmed in beautiful Burled Walnut wood veneer. With just 40,000 carefully maintained miles on the odometer, this XJS appears in “like new” condition despite its 26 years of operation. Always as Southwestern US car, all power features function properly. A modern sound system with both Blue Tooth and Satellite feature was added. The original radio is included as well as all books, operating cassettes, and original window sticker. With more appealing styling than the convertible version as well as much lower production numbers, the XJS Coupe guarantees significant collector and investor opportunity in a highly desirable “world class” touring coupe. Where else can you find a V-12 powered “super car” of this caliber and era for less than $100,000.00?- Low 40,000 original miles- All original rust-free example- All books and records- Exotic V-12 power
