The beautiful, black jacquard jacket is waist length in back and full length in front. The bent, three-quarter sleeves also have finished slits for an alternate place for the wearer to put her arms. These features indicate it is made for sitting with one's hands resting in front as one would if riding in an open coach. There is also fringe and an ornate applique around all edges.
