This spiral toy works by pulling the string to lower a ball to the base of the spiral, and upon release, the ball travels back up the track, opening to reveal a small man when it reaches the top. Track reads Jouet Bte/t S.G.D.G., France Et Etrange DRGM, and FM Paris. Works well but does show wear throughout.
