Also known as “Schoolboy with Broken Slate” this seated figure is wearing a dunce cap. When his arm with the slate is depressed, the cigar tip placed in his mouth is clipped off. A small pivoted door at the rear enables all the clipped tips to be removed. In all original copper finish with several patent dates (last is 1885), his wooden base is stenciled O. G. Hull Kansas City, MO. Obviously this must have been the original use location of this cutter. No damage, intricate castings, great finish and only some minor chipping to edges of the wooden base.

Condition: (Very Good).
