This Mettlach 1/4 L Beer Stein depicts a gnome. This gnome has fallen over which resulted in him spilling the contents of the jug. Above this scene “Prosit!” is painted into the sky. Radishes and some flying crows complete the scene. The Mettlach stamp is visible on the base, along with other stamped numbers and “961 Greschutzt”. The metal cover of the stein is patterned with a gnome face as the thumb piece. The stein is approximately 6-1/4 inches in height. Overall the stein is in great condition, slight discoloring on the unglazed foot.
